Homemade pizzas will mostly have a maximum temperature of 500 degrees, meaning the oven must preheat for about 20 to 30 minutes. Plus, the addition of more than 15 minutes of cooking time. However, wood-fired pizza ovens can heat up to approximately 700 degrees, thus decreasing the cooking time. Depending on the thickness of the dough, the wood-fired pizza may take a maximum of 5 minutes. Therefore, wood-fired pizza ovens are fast in comparison.

2. It boosts the flavor of the food

A wood-fired pizza will enhance the flavor of the pizza. The wood-fired pizzas have an authentic and unmatchable taste compared to gas-fired or any other pizza oven. This is due to the even distribution of heat in the wood-fired range. Also, smoke imparted from the woods gives the pizza some unmatchable smoky flavor. Therefore, wood-fired pizza ovens boost the flavor.

3. It helps retain nutrients.

Pizza toppings may be made of vegetables or fruits. To help retain the nutrients of these fruits and vegetables, one has to ensure that the pizza cooks as fast as possible to help keep these antioxidants. Wood-fired pizza ovens cook pizzas quickly and thus are the best to retain these nutrients rich in the vegetables.
